Eileen Riener
Eileen began practicing yoga in 2012, because she was looking for a physical activity that she could stick with. Over the years, she had tried everything from running, to aerobics, to circuit training, but her interest would wane and nothing lasted long. Something about yoga clicked and she kept coming back to her mat, again and again. For Eileen yoga has become so much more than just a physical workout; the mental and emotional benefits have changed her outlook on life and how she deals with stress. Yoga helped prepare her for one of the biggest challenges of her life. In 2015, her youngest son was diagnosed with Bi-polar disorder. The diagnosis turned her world upside down. Her yoga practice helped her through a very dark and difficult time. As her physical strength grew, so too did her mind and heart. She credits yoga with strengthening her mental and emotional fortitude, allowing her to face head-on, the challenge, frustration, and heartbreak of caring for a loved one with a chronic illness. she wants to give, as she has received. If she can help even just one person to find the inner strength, balance, and comfort that yoga has brought her, her journey as a teacher will have been worth it.
Eileen registered with Yoga Alliance as a 200-hour yoga teacher after having completed her yoga teacher training at Worlds Yoga in 2018. She enjoys many styles of yoga, but she especially likes practicing and teaching Vinyasa yoga. She believes yoga can be, and should be, a life-long journey.
This is Eileen’s open invitation to all her students: “Wherever you are in your practice, just starting or well-seasoned, come join me and let’s share part of the journey together. We will continue to grow so long as we continue to practice.
