Vicky Iu
Vicky has been practicing yoga for many years and is a long time student of Worlds Yoga. She completed her 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training under Dr K of Worlds Yoga in April, 2023.
Vicky graduated from UC Berkeley with a BS degree from Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. She is a senior networking engineer, working for a high tech company in Silicon Valley. Two of her current coworkers, after their YTT training, offer free Yoga classes in her workplace, which sparked her initial curiosity of attending the YTT. Vicky enjoys practicing different styles of yoga: Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, restorative and Pranayama (mostly based on how she feels about her energy level at that moment).
Outside of yoga practice and teaching, she is also into learning more about Traditional Chinese Medicine, hiking, piano playing, reading and storytelling.
Her yoga practice has helped her complete multiple half and full marathon races, manage her Herniated disks condition, and nurture back to good health from exhaustion… She is a true believer of the benefit of practicing yoga!
Vicky’s class emphasizes fundamental yoga poses and basic pranayama breathing techniques. She aims to cultivate joy in practicing yoga and assist students in experiencing its many benefits, both on and off the mat, throughout their yoga journey.
